Rodeo Christmas Romance (2025)
Cowboys. Cowgirls. Christmas.
She’s a barrel racer with an injured horse, relegated to killing time on her teammate’s ranch in the leadup to the “Christmas Eve rodeo showcase” - is that a thing? - while her horse recuperates. He’s freshly discharged from the military and dealing with some PTSD.
On the good side, this was a little saucier than standard Hallmark fare (I think this was technically a Lifetime movie).
But confusing bronc riding with barrel racing… c’mon… - can whomever manages the blurbs for this please edit… sincerely, someone living in a Western town with a vaguely popular rodeo…) . And no ranch house interior resembles a cookie cutter suburban condo - gimme some exposed beams, beaten floors, and a roaring fire, not white walls and IKEA furnishings.
Unfortunately for this one, it’s easily compared to the first entry of the season, A Royal Montana Christmas, and the earlier entry was a bit better.
While this one wasn’t overly Christmassy, I do appreciate holding on tight to the red & green clothing in the cover photo so that it’s clear this is a CHRISTMAS movie… definitely couldn’t take place at any other time of the year…
