Mistletoe Murders: Cold War (2025)
CSI: Hallmark - Season 2, Episode 1
So after a steamy cliffhanger after which Sam discovers that Emily isn’t who she says she is, we fast forward to a year later where they have… not talked at all. So you’re telling me a cop just… ignored that someone he was almost intimately involved with had a secret identity? Sure.
And we return to mild crime drama and - of course - unnecessary, awkward voiceovers. Are these meant to fill in gaps in the storyline? Again, if CSI (every iteration) can reveal and solve a mystery in a crisp 42 minute episode, two-part, hour long “episodes” on Hallmark should have no trouble doing the same. Even on a minimal budget.
Perhaps the hardest part of watching these is that - THEY AREN’T CHRISTMAS MOVIES! She owns a Christmas store that presumably operates year-round. That does not mean that a murder mystery revolving around the storeowner who impedes criminal investigations is a Christmas movie.
Sigh.
You’ll like this if…
You enjoy true crime documentaries but like… only the super bland ones.
