Pining for Douglas

Douglas… the town tree.

In the grand tradition of holiday TV movies, something needs to be saved! For this iteration, it’s the town tree, around which the community has gathered for decades. She’s a fledgling social media manager who someone scores a gig working for a major tech firm, while also running a social media account that actively opposes what the firm is doing. While also falling for the boss’ son and heir.

This isn’t Hallmark, but did air on the Canadian W Network’s slightly altered version of the Countdown to Christmas. And it was… ok. Overall it felt sort of “small” and, despite the numerous Christmas trees on set, never felt particularly jolly.

Also - I’m convinced the movie poster has some significant AI editing support - I wish they’d styled Brittany Bristow closer to what’s on the poster! And Luke Macfarlane… all I want for you is more stellar fare like Single All The Way.
