Where’s Nick?!?
You may judge this movie by it’s cover, unfortunately. After a few decent movies in a row I knew the streak had to end sometime, and this was it. Something about a single mom (check) with an adopted daughter (check) need to save something (check - a seniors centre, in this case) and have a little bit of magic in the air (check) to help a new relationship blossom.
Honestly, the best part about this movie was the idea of “adopting” a lonely senior citizen for the holidays. If you have an organization that does this in your neighbourhood, I highly recommend checking it out. There’s nothing like seeing seniors your parents’ ages with no one around for the holidays to bring out the spirit of gving.
