What if there was a Hanukkah bar?
I know very little about Hanukkah traditions, save for what I’ve watched via Hallmark movies the last few years, so I would bet that there are a lot of references in movies like this that fly completely over my head. Dreidel? Got it. Candles? Yep, I’ve seen those. Decor? Love the blue - I’m in.
This is basically like if Cheers took place at Hanukkah and one of the bartenders was a newly laid off corporate lawyer who takes on the job to kill time over the holidays and falls for the owner’s grandson along the way. They also search the city for the perfect menorah candles along the way.
Al the while they design new Hanukkah-themed food, cocktails, and bar activities for their patrons through the week. And yeah, this takes place entirely during Hanukkah so we have a “fell for each other in a matter of days” situation.
It was alright - no strong feelings either way on this one.
