Rescuing Christmas (2023)
What happens when you mash up Aladdin’s magic lamp with Santa’s Christmas Magic?
You get this - single, Scrooge-like Erin is a woman who is O-V-E-R Christmas and wishes it away. Unbeknownst to her, Santa’s elves have some tricks up their sleeves. Realizing that a world without Christmas is decidedly un-merry, Erin sets about to convince everyone around her that Christmas is a thing and is, in fact, wonderful. It does beg the question - how would you decorate for Christmas if there was no Christmas decor to be found? Think, strings of Jack O’ Lantern lights, a festive fox in lieu of reindeer, neon swag over festive greens and reds.
Overall this one was fairly forgettable and despite being centered on “rescuing” Christmas, didn’t feel particularly Christmassy.
