North by Northpole: A Dial S Mystery (2024)

Something about a Christmas festival being threatened?

I really struggled to even follow what the central plot was in this movie. Only released in Canada (sorry, did we do something to piss you off?!?) and the final movie in the Countdown (though realeased by UpTV, not Hallmark) this was a dud from basically the first blurry frame. Oh yeah, even the filming quality screamed TV movie D-list.

Anyway, from what I gathered the protagonists are an architect reassigned to support a Christmas festival to ensure its success. She’s an interior designer charged with hiring the festival Santa and also to make sure the festival goes ahead.

There’s some talking. Maybe some festival-threatening shenanigans? And a son desperate to impress his business tycoon father?

Do yourself a favour and skip this, even if it’s just to avoid a stroke from the shitty filming quality. Seriously, an iPhone 5 in the hands of an 8 year old would have been done better.

The official synopsis:

Santa is back to help a couple solve a mystery and find romance. Zoey’s wish to produce the perfect Christmas Festival becomes difficult when she clashes with partner Dalton while suspicious things happen that could to stop the festival.

SCORE: 1/10
